Alsophila jimeneziana, synonym Cyathea crassa, is a species of tree fern endemic to the Dominican Republic. Whilst little is known about this rare tree fern,[1] the Ebano Verde Scientific Reserve is home to many of them. The picture above shows the fern's shoots.
